Vernon L. Goodner, 1939-2003, Pilot Grove

Vernon Lee Goodner, 64, of Pilot Grove, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at his home.

He was born Oct. 23, 1939, in Omaha, Neb., a son of Lee H. and Mary Mae Chase Goodner. On Nov. 24, 1962, in Omaha, he married Marie Sistek, who survives of the home.

Mr. Goodner was an Air Force veteran and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove. He was a member of the Clear Creek Knights of Columbus and the Pilot Grove Lions Club. He worked as a credit manager for Sears in Omaha and North Platte, Neb., before moving to Pilot Grove in 1991.

He was predeceased by his parents.

The body was cremated.
